On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Deshbhakta Ratnappa Kumbhar, the B.B.A. Department of D.R.K. College of Commerce organized an inspiring intercollege competition titled “STARTUP SPARK” on 12th September 2025, with the motto igniting young minds with Entrepreneurial Spirit. The event aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students and saw enthusiastic participation from various colleges.
The function began with a motivating speech by our Principal Ma’am, who highlighted the importance of innovation in today’s world and encouraged students to take bold steps toward entrepreneurship. Her words set a positive and energetic tone for the day.
Participants showcased their creative startup ideas through pre-recorded videos, which were followed by live presentations where they confidently explained their concepts to the audience and the judging panel. The competition was graced by two esteemed judges, Dr. Seema Benade and Professor M. N. Mujawar Sir, who attentively evaluated each idea for its originality, feasibility, and impact.
Before the announcement of results, both judges shared their thoughts, expressing appreciation for the innovative spirit and fresh thinking displayed by the participants. They encouraged students to keep nurturing their entrepreneurial dreams and applauded the platform for enabling such expression.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the best ideas and efforts. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by the student coordinators, whose dedication and teamwork ensured the smooth execution of the event.
Overall, “STARTUP SPARK” was a grand success, leaving a lasting impression and truly igniting the entrepreneurial spark among young minds.
