The BBA Department of D.R.K. College of Commerce, Kolhapur successfully organized its Annual Sports Day on 02 March 2026 at Sportscastle Turf, Kalamba–Gargoti Road, Kolhapur. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BBA students, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere throughout the day.
The program was formally inaugurated at the hands of Principal Dr. V. V. Maindargi Ma’am. On this occasion, Dr. Seema Benade, Head of the BBA Department, warmly welcomed the Principal and delivered the inaugural address. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of sports in the overall development of students and encouraged them to actively participate in various competitions. Following this, Principal Dr. V. V. Maindargi Ma’am addressed the students and highlighted the significance of sports in maintaining physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork. Being a sportsperson herself, she effectively explained the value of sports in students’ lives and motivated them to participate wholeheartedly in the activities.
After the inaugural ceremony, the Sports Day was officially commenced with a cricket match initiated by the Principal. Students enthusiastically participated in various competitions such as cricket, football, chess, and carrom. While the football matches were being played on the ground, indoor competitions like chess and carrom were conducted simultaneously, keeping the competitive spirit alive throughout the event.
In the evening, the Prize Distribution Ceremony was held where the winners of different competitions were felicitated and appreciated for their performance. The event concluded with great enthusiasm and joy, leaving the students with memorable experiences and reinforcing the importance of sports and extracurricular activities in student life.
