    On 28th June 2026, NSS Unit of the college Organised Tree Plantation and Shramdan activity with Great Enthusiasm at the site of the upcoming Deshbhakt Padmashri Dr. Ratnappaanna Kumbhar Memorial and Constitution Complex in Nimshirgaon Over  250 Trees were Planted at Nimshirgaon with Inspiring Message on Environmental Conservation. On this occasion, more than 250 trees were planted in the campus. Saplings of indigenous and eco-friendly species such as Mango, Cluster Fig (Umbar), Jackfruit, Almond, and Peepal were planted with a collective pledge to preserve a green legacy for future generations. Along with the plantation drive, students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff actively participated in Shramdan to help make the campus cleaner, greener, and more environmentally sustainable.The programme was graced by Dr. Vishwanath Magdum, Secretary of the Council of Education, who emphasised that environmental protection is the need of the hour. He appealed to everyone to plant at least one tree and take responsibility for its care and preservation.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Principals, faculty members, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as NSS and NCC volunteers and students from Deshbhakta Ratnappa Kumbhar College of Commerce, Kolhapur, Night College of Arts and Commerce, Parvatidevi Kumbhar College of Nursing under the Council of Education.Through this dual initiative of tree plantation and voluntary labour, the programme conveyed a strong message of environmental conservation, social commitment, respect for labour, and love for nature. The participants expressed that such initiatives are essential to inspire society towards building a green, clean, and sustainable future.
