D.R.K. College of Commerce has taken all possible efforts to facilitate an education friendly environment that will assist the students and teachers in carrying out there academic work, and duties flawlessly. Initiatives taken by the college can be described as bellows.

1.  Safety and security: In order to provide safe and secure campus environment top most priority has been given to safety and security of students, staff and teachers. Following initiatives has  been taken in this regard

1. Anti-ragging cell as per UGC guidelines is active in the college

2. Internal sexual harassment prevention cell specifically for girls in association with local police station is active in the college. 

3. Security guard has been appointed at the single entry exit point in the college 

4. Students and staffs entry and movement in college campus without identity card is prohibited.

5. The entire campus is under CCTV surveillance

6. Grievance redressal committee under the leadership of principle is active in the college for which grievance redressal box along with online grievance redressal facility is available on college website http://www.drkcollegekolhapur.org/grievance-form.aspx

7. All the electrical switch boards, LCD, fans and tube-lights etc. are checked regularly

8. Free medical check-up camps specifically for girls are arranged regularly

9. First-aid box and emergency medical facility contact numbers are available in office and are displayed in college premises.

10. Separate washrooms for the male and female, teaching and non-teaching staff is available

 

 2.     Counselling: To nurture the mental growth of the students a separate mentor teacher has been appointed for each of the classroom, who has been assigned duty to resolve the problems faced by the students up to the extent possible, the problems which cannot be solved at the level of mentor are reported at higher level i.e. principle for further action. In order to resolve problems relating to academics and career of students a special career counseling cell is active in the college.

 

 3.      Common Room: A spacious, safe and comfortable common room specifically for girl student is available in the college building. Apart from this a much spacious college’s multipurpose hall with indoor games and recreational facilities and common study room in college library is also available for the students.
