On 9th August 2024, the Department of Library organized an exhibition showcasing pictorial books in honor of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan's Jayanti, a significant figure in the field of library science. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sou. Rajanitai Magadum, President of The Council of Education, Kolhapur. Key figures in attendance included the I/c Principal Dr. R. S. Naik, Vice Principal Dr. A. S. Banne, Librarian Prof. T. L. Kamble, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff members.
During the event, Prof. T. L. Kamble, the Librarian, provided insightful information about Dr. S. R. Ranganathan’s contributions to the field of library science. He elaborated on the objectives of the program, highlighting the importance of promoting knowledge about books and encouraging reading among the audience. The event was well-received by all participants and successfully brought attention to the legacy of Dr. Ranganathan, often regarded as the father of library science in India.
